Too Late to Apologize

Guys,  just wanted to tell you I'm sorry that I haven't kept up with this better.  This week was pretty crazy and the last 2 days I've just tried to rest up for the last 2 weeks of this radio tour.  I'm fighting off sickness brought on by bad road food and consistent lack of sleep.  I actually have a couple of blogs planned (pics included) about New York and some other things...I just have tried to stay away from the computer for a couple of days.

I probably won't get something up tonight, but hopefully tomorrow night.

No apologies necessary! Your #1 priority should be staying well and getting enough sleep to get you through these last couple of weeks of your radio tour. I'm sure there's a bunch of moms on here who would ship you a good home cooked meal if we could. : ) Find a Cracker Barrel (or do they go that far north?) and eat some healthy veggies!

It's OK, we don't feel SLIGHted. (HA! See what I did there?)

I'm listening to you on my radio station (WMUZ) right now!!!
Unfortunately, I don't know of any cracker barrels in this neck of the woods.

Also, to update on my family's summer plans: We had been talking about coming to the picnic, but we recently received an invitation (a save the date card, actually,) to a friend's wedding in Chicago two weeks after the picnic. I don't think we'll be able to swing two trips so close together, but we're still working on the budget and will try!

You never need to apologize to us. We know how busy you are. You just get rest when you can and stay healthy...

I wasn't even expected to see THIS posted because we all know how crazy your schedule is. Like everyone has said so far, there's no reason to apologize. Don't worry about us -- we'll still be here when you get back. Feel better, get some sleep and then you can go blog crazy. Think of it this way: soon you'll get to go home for awhile and get some of Sarah's cooking! :)

To Chris,
From GDA,

While your good intentions are appreciated, it is overextending yourself to expect to regularly post given the mental and physical demands of promoting an album.

It would be unduly selfish on our part to expect you to post with frequent regularity while on the road.

We hope that a speedy recovery occurs and the meal options improve.

Chris, your health and well being is the most important to us. We all know you'll get to us when you can.

I really enjoyed watching you on The Logan Show.

We've missed you Chris, but totally understand!

Hang in there you've almost got this radio tour crossed off the list!

Hey, let me know if it looks like you are coming to B'ham next week!

Feel better!

Hey everyone... Amanda needs your prayers now more than ever. I just read her blog and she's having a really bad day. I almost started crying because the last time I was able to talk to her, we were talking about the picnic. I know she can pull through. We need her to get better not just for the picnic, but for herself. I know she's strong.

She needs your prayers, guys, more than ever. You can read the updates at www.caringbridge.org/visit/amandajones. Risa

Risa,

Thanks for the update, Amanda needs all of her prayer warriors to gather around right now more than ever.

Well, I think Kristy Lee Cook redeemed herself again tonight. Ramiele may be on her way out.

David Cook was excellent as was Syesha.

A lot of people liked Michael Johns' performance, but I thought he was still straining on the high notes.

Brooke wasn't bad, but she messed up the first couple of notes and that stuck with me for the whole performance.

What does anybody else think?

Carrie said...

I love Brooke no matter what. She was much better this week than the last and yeah she messed up a little at the beginning, but at least she didn't forget the lyrics. Jason Castro has been growing on me. I don't always care for his performances, but I like his studio versions -- they're really good. However, I think he's the one who is going home tomorrow and that's sad. I think it should be Ramiele going home. Michael Johns redeemed himself, in my eyes. I thought he was pretty bad until tonight.

risalea said...

Jason's girl fans will keep him in. I think it's Ramiele or Chikezie going. Kristy was good (finally!) and I liked Brooke, despite her flub at the start. David A. needs to step up to the plate again...I have to agree with the judges...it sounded like something I'd hear a group at Silver Dollar City do. David Cook was awesome.

Gaylon is in love with Syesha. She's not resonating with me for some reason.

We're watching, but we're not voting. I guess that shows our level of apathy this year.

David Cook blew me away with his version of Billy Jean! By far he was the best one tonight. I just might have to download this song from iTunes.

I think Jason, Chikezie and Ramiele will be the bottom 3. My pick to go - Jason.

So what's up with Blake Lewis talking smack about everyone, including you? He has been really mean about Sanjaya, and he is coming off really bitter and bitchy. Why burn bridges?

Carrie said...

If that's true then I don't really plan on supporting Blake anymore. Seems he got off the show and thinks he's high and mighty now with the stuff he says and yet his was one big flop.

risalea said...

Let's take what we read with a grain of salt...we know from experience that everything that's reported is not always true, unless you heard him with your own ears.

John said...

I've heard it with my own ears- he has been bashing other idols on radio interviews, and gets credit for his mean-spirited honesty.

Carrie said...

I have yet to see/hear of any of these comments anywhere so I'm not really sure what to believe. But it's sad because I used to be a big fan of Blake before he started being "honest."

John said...

go to rickey.org and look for Blake Lewis's section to hear for yourself.
I hate to take up Chris's blog with BL talk, I just wondered what Chris's take is on it. I know he used to visit votefortheworst.com, so he probably knows what I am talking about.

Hm. I see nothing on rickey.org mentioning Chris, though, so I don't think that Blake insulted him. Apparently he also apologized for what he had said about Sanjaya and some of the season 7 kids, though.

I've been keeping tabs on Amanda's caring bridge site, and saw that she's taken a turn for the better today!

Chris actually already commented about the Blake thing at VFTW, on page 177 of Blake's thread.

Carrie said...

Emily, I know, I just read Amanda's page! :)

risalea said...

Amanda still needs your prayers. She did wake up and talk to her mom, though, which is a great. I will get to see her mom on Friday. I don't imagine I will get to see Amanda, but I will ask Tammy to make sure Amanda knows that the Chris's blogger friends are praying for her and thinking of her. Risa

Rosalee,
Thank you SOOO much for the gift for Teddy!! (She sent me a Fro Patro teddy bear and onesie!) I could've just emailed you to thank you but I wanted people to see how sweet and awesome you are so I posted here. hehe. :)
That was such a pleasant surprise - and I have to say that's gotta be my favorite teddy bear in Teddy's collection now... he had to have a Fro Patro teddy! You rock! and thanks again.

Risa, please let her know Amanda is in my prayers for sure. I'm really glad one of us is able to go visit her or at least her mother. I was excited when I read she woke up. Hoping it will only go up from here.

Lori, that is so cute. You need pictures of him with his new presents! Plus I love baby pictures and from what I've seen he is adorable! I can imagine you must be very busy and tired right now.

rosalee said...

You're welcome, Lori.

Just be thankful that I didn't send you anything with "FARLEY" emblazoned on it!

If you feed little Teddy well, maybe he'll grow into it in time for the picnic!

On a completely random morning I was driving to work and for some reason I switched from the AM band where I always listen to news/talk in the morning to the FM band and caught part of your interview on 104.7 The FISH here in Atlanta.

Great interview. I laughed. I learned. I was glad I changed frequencies!
