Way too long

Hey guys...it has been a while. Sorry I haven't been more active. I've been crazy busy and the blog has suffered.

So...wanted to give an update on what is going on.

Just finished my album. It comes out September 14. The first single is "Only You Can Save" and it hits radio next Friday (July 17). I am super excited about the record, obviously, and will be posting a song by song exploration very soon.

I just finished producing Andrew Witt's album. Thanks to those of you who were involved financially. You don't know how much you helped. We literally couldn't have made as great an album without your help. If you haven't heard the songs yet, check out facebook.com/andrewwittmusic. The 2 EPs should be available for purchase by mid to late July.

I start this week on Brian Bortnick's record. I'm excited about this one, too. The songs are really good, interesting and different. Yet, very commercial. Brian is recording some of ya'lls favorites - like "I'm Ready" and "I Am". Can't wait for you guys to hear what we're cooking up on this album. It will be fantastic, I promise.

In August, I will be spending 8 days writing in Los Angeles. So, that will be awesome. Then I have a show in NM and then Sarah and I are taking a much much-needed vacation for 6-7 days. We need some rest and relaxation after a long year so far and with the baby coming. Gosh, I feel relaxed just thinking about that week of doing nothing!

Then in the fall I head out with Downhere for about 20 shows. I'll also be doing some spot dates on my own, so look for those dates to come up.

And hopefully we'll be doing a Christmas tour this year...we'll see what happens.

I'm excited to be working again. Last year was difficult. I feel useless/worthless when I'm not working hard. It's nice to feel useful again!

So I know that we are really using Twitter alot(a special thanks to Miss Risa and DJ for trying to help me get up to speed on the Twitter world) to to communicate but after listening to the interview I felt a little homesick and wanted to post here because I miss coming to the blog to see what everybody has been doing and what's up. I saw that Teddy is just doing so well and remember when he had his surgery and God is great and I am so happy for the blessings we just keep receiving. I have met AMAZING people from this blog and have been lucky enough to include these people in my daily thoughts and life so I guess I just wanted to hang out here for a minute to say good morning everybody and happy Sunday to all. Take care

Candy
P.S. My phone and I are shaking in our boots at the thought of the Saturday when the Screaming War Eagles and the Hogs play each other. A heads up on when that glorious event is scheduled LADIES???!!!

Pssst Chris... the comments are on to a second page. New post plz??

Candy, I tried to help you on twitter too, but you're not following me, so maybe you didn't get my messages?

The meeting of the mighty Razorbacks and the Auburn Tigers takes place on Oct. 16th at Auburn. Though the team that cries "War Eagle" will have the home field advantage, do not think for a moment that the rousing "Wooo Pig Sooieee" will not be heard loud and clear. Despite the interceptions in yesterday's game against the OTHER Alabama team, MALLETT RULES!

And Chris, when we have to go to the second page, we're like way overdue for a post, as Em said. Just sayin'.

I heard OYCS on Sirius/XM the Message for the first time today! I don't know if they just added it or I just always miss it, but I was excited to finally hear it! I got in the car when it was about halfway through, so I don't know if they talked about it beforehand or anything.

Well I totally missed this 2nd page....WHERE IS THE FRO???

I only have 2 words to say about the AU AR game......WAR EAGLE!

I agree with Candy, this is where I want to come to feel the "warm fuzzies" about my Fro Friends. I just don't get that same feeling on Twitter.
