Wouldn't Change a Thing

Hey guys, head over to myspace.com/chrisslighsongwriting and check out the new song "Wouldn't Change a Thing". I really love this song...maybe because usually when I'm writing country music, it's more writing a story about someone else. This one is straight from my heart to Sarah.

I remember the hard times and am so thankful to have a wife that stuck by me when I was nothing and no one else believe in me. This song is for her. I think someone will make this a big hit on the country side. But ultimately, this is for Sarah.

L-O-V-E IT!!!!

I have tears in my eyes as I write this (I'm on play #4) because of the lyrics, and because I know y'all's story and it rings so true.

Chris, where is this coming from? I wouldn't have thought about you penning such wonderful country lyrics and music two years ago, but it seems so natural. Maybe cause a good country song just comes from the heart, and you said it yourself, that's where this one came from. You've got a little bit of country soul, I think.

And a beautiful inspiration named Sarah.

You see Christopher Sligh, THIS, is one of the reasons I love you dude! A man that loves and values his wife is just so darn irresistible!

You are both so lucky to truly "get" each other, that's really what this whole life thing is about!

And um dude, what sista said, maybe Country lyrics is where it's at for you, I mean hellooo!!

Boy! That's a song that will get you outta the dog house and into the master suite PRONTO!
:o)

You found a great voice to sing the demo too.

I hope that hits big! I'm not too into country these days but I have to agree, you seem to have a natural bent towards that style. I love that you're so versatile! Way to go Chris!

Clearsa, you read my mind...I was thinking if Gaylon Ratliff was smart he'd send himself to songwriting school...it might serve him well as a "get out of jail free" card. LOL

This is a beautiful song. Yep, someone will have a hit song with this one.

I agree DJ, this song is so ready to be a hit right now. I want to hear it on the radio.

You are so blessed to have such a wonderful person to share your life with.

This song brought tears to my eyes. Like Risa says, we know your story and this is such a beautiful way to share it with all of us.

Since you wrote it for Sarah, would it be a better a more flattering, if not endearing to record and release it yourself.

I would so love to hear Chris sing it at some point...........but then I always think his songs are best performed by him, including Here Comes Goodbye.....and I'm being serious from a pure listening standpoint. My 2 cents.....

That's awesome, and your demo is head and shoulders above some of the schlock I hear playing on commercial 'waves. Can't we just load it to itunes and make it viral???

Love the new song!

Greetings from Greenville, SC.
We're vacationing down here visiting family. I played them the song and they all agree that this could be another hit!

We got to meet and spend some time with Chris's brother, Jon in downtown Greenville yesterday. A really nice guy.

Today we're taking "Chris" to the zoo. Later.
