Life Moves On...

Well, as exciting as last week was, it's time for life to move on. The Flatts' single comes out this week and officially goes for adds next week, so it will be cool to hear the song on the radio. I've got a few shows coming up this month, but for the most part am free.

I finish up with Rough Draft tomorrow (hopefully - the guys have been sitting around for a while waiting to be done). We're done with vocals and all tracking, now it's just adding weird sound effects and guitar stuff. This project is gonna be cool.

Still writing for the next album, too. I think I've found the person who is going to coproduce the album with me...more on that once all the deals are in place. But I'm excited about the follow up to RBTY.

Anyway, the show with Risa went awesome. Thanks to her for thinking of me. I think we're gonna make this an annual thing...kinda like the picnic...which we WILL be having again this year. So plan on coming!

Can't wait to hear what you and Rough Draft have been working on. And guys, we will have picnic details soon, main thing being the exact date within a few days. And it's exciting to hear about a follow up album. You MUST cut "Here Comes Goodbye" as a bonus track. Rascal Flatts sounds awesome on the teaser, but well, I think everyone who was at Sat.'s concert would agree Chris knocked that out of the ballpark. Off to work! BLAH!

I agree with Risa~Chris singing "Here Comes Goodbye" was awesome. Yes should be either a hidden track or a bonus track. The song is really beautiful.
I finally made it home after a long delay in Dallas. The trip was so much fun and thanks again Risa for everything.
DJ and Carmen, hope you have a good and safe trip home.

Now it's time to save up for the picnic. WhooHoo!! Can't wait..

Little Rock was so much fun! I am so glad I got to meet Risa, you are the sweetest person. Now I can put a face with my Mary Kay orders. Loved meeting Cathy, DJ, & Carmen. I wish we could of gotten there a little earlier.(I was only 15 min late getting to Candy's) I would of loved to have visited with Cathy more. DJ you are to funny & full of sweetness. Hope Carmen made it home ok. It is The Best concert I have been to. I think I will definetly be at the picnic.

I hope we get a huge crowd for this year's picnic!

During the People's Choice Awards earlier this month, Rascal Flatts invited fans to design the CD cover for Unstoppable. Perhaps a "fro" should be incorporated into the design? lol
Designs can be submitted at www.PCAvote.com through January 22.

grannyrhon~It was really good meeting you also. I also wish we could have had more time to visit. I really enjoyed getting to know you. We can plan on spending more time together in Nashville at the picnic.
It will be a blast...
And Candy~Thanks again for the beautiful angel. That was so thoughtful of you.

Cathy, you are so welcome. I hope it reminds you that I am thinking of you and rooting you on. Good luck tomorrow. I have seen no new posts from DJ and Carmen. Hmm... maybe Carmen IS hitching her way back to Alabama???? LOL

Carmen just got home about an hour ago, and last time I talked to her she was stretched out on the bed...she's probably snoozing by now! Deb didn't leave her by the side of the road. LOL Rhonda, thank you for the kind comments...I'm so glad you and Candy could make it. Next stop, Nashville!

Though I was sorely tempted, I did NOT leave Carmen by the side of the road! Considering she made me get up after 2 hours of sleep surely you can sympathize with my urge to put her out, lol! I just called and her exact words were, I'm home and I'm dead! I suppose what you'd expect to hear after 14 plus hours on the road.

Risa thanks for your hospilitality and a well coordinated Chris Sligh concert. You JL girls really know how to get things done!

Chris thank you for another great concert, the best in my estimation! Here Comes Goodbye is an unbelievable song and good for Rascal Flatts for having the good sense to recognize a number one hit when he hears one. As always my thanks for taking the time to spend with your adoring fans. Man there were a ton in AR weren't there? You continue to earn my adoration as a gifted artist and as a truly decent human being.

Love to my Blogger girls, those I was priveledged to spend time with in AR and those who couldn't make it! I'll see ya'll in Nashville!

Sending love from a weary DJ in AL!

I'm so glad everyone who went to the concert had a good time! If Chris makes this an anual thing I might have to think about coming. Did everyone stay at Risa's-if so, Risa might have to get a bigger house for next year!

I am SO glad there is going to be a picnic this year. I am so excited! I can't wait to find out more about it.

Carmen-Where can you find out about your book? I looked on Chris' website, but couldn't find anything.
