My name is Chris Sligh. As an artist I'm award-winning, critically acclaimed & mildly-to-not popular; I wrote a number 1 song (Here Comes Goodbye) for Rascal Flatts. I'm married to Sarah and I'm deeply in love. Most importantly, I am a Christ-follower.

Thanks for finally uploading this! I forgot how ridiculous I looked in that red wig. Looking back on it, I would not change a thing.
The one thought comes to mind in two words after watching the video:
"vain ambition"
I have no idea where I get these ideas.
Love it! Props to everyone brave enough to submit, I applaud you!
Still kicking myself that I didn't. Oh well, 2 chubbies on film is enough:)
Happy Sunday!
My Pooky is a star! LOL
That was awesome!!!
I'm also kicking myself for not submitting but while chubby is in, bald is not!! lol...
You guys looked great!!!
Great job Chris...
Cat, bald is beautiful, girl, so is kicking Cancer's butt!
Love ya!
Rosalee,
You are the star, Pooky is the co-star!
Yay!!! Teddy's famous! :) As well as many others of the Fro Patro - I'm so excited :). I loved seeing Pooky, Heaven's Loft, & Clearsa on a fire engine. hehe.
Exciting to watch! It was amazing to see how creative different ones were. I would not have had the nerve to stand at a carnival ride and sing! Who was that, and how many people stopped to ask what you were doing? LOL
That was really cool. I had the same thought about the lady in front of the carnival ride. I know I wouldn't have the nerve. Good for her.
Adam, you're from VFTW, right? Love your part of the video!
Lori & Teddy, Risa, Rosalee, Carrie, Clearsa... lovely videos from all of you too!
That song is a prayer. I was a little offended by some of the silliness even if it's not my prayer. I love that song.....
But then....it is so Chris as I see his sense of humor. It's what I, as a fan, love about Chris. His sense of humor.
Hello Chris & The Delightful Usual Suspects,
I found the engaging humanity of this very moving.
I applaud all of you. Simply outstanding !
Shalom
The involvement...the sharing...is a prayer. Shalom
Clearsa, you're a superstar! Good job, everyone (and we know the JL girls at Heaven's Loft are going to be asked to do backup at the concert this weekend. LOL) How fun to see Lori, Teddy, Rosalee, Carrie and Pooky!
My only problem---my niece, Madeline made it and my nephew, Thomas didn't. I'm in trouble now! : )
Oh, Capt. Kirk is my friend who's taping the concert this weekend, so y'all will get to meet him, Chris and all. He's a hoot and such a nice guy.
Oh my gosh!
I love it! I am going to show my Sign Language teacher! I'm sure he will be proud! And I also think I will sign this at church!
Amazing!
Hey! What a great surprise to check my facebook page and see Risa's posting of the video! Also surprising to see clips of both my entries. That was me on the fire truck and in front of the Yo-Yo. Yes, it took almost more NERVE than I could muster! I had to keep saying to myself, I'll NEVER see this crowd again! Some know-it-all uncredentialed guy came up and told me I needed a media pass to do that. I said, "Oh really? Well I really don't care" in a nice, Christian sort of way :o) Then I packed up and booked it outta there!
Loved seeing the rest of you and am wondering about the ones I don't recognize. Whose kiddy band? They were cute.
~clearsa
Fun video, kudos to all of you that submitted your video.
Clearsa, that was you! Thanks for clearing that up. Your response to the uncredentialed know-it-all is a hoot! My daughter loved that part of the video - the Yo-Yo is her favorite ride.
EmilyBoo - Yes, I'm o_o on VFTW. I'm glad you like my part in the video. My favourite parts : The baby with the guitar hero guitar, the three kids with a keyboard, drums, and a toy guitar, and the lady doing sign language.
5 days and counting to the Heaven's Loft concert with Chris!
This whole putting together a concert thing has been a real learning experience.
First of all, thank you to Clint, Chris's road manager and a member of his band. He has been so gracious, so patient and on top of things. We really, really appreciate him.
Central Baptist--they have gone out of their way to make sure everything goes smoothly. We met with them Sun. for a final rundown and I think we're ready!
Nancy, Rin, and Natalie--You've gone above and beyond to get details ironed out, advertising in place, and to make sure we do everything we can to get the word out to the community.
Baptist Health, Horton Bros.Printing, Sonja for Baker House B & B...thank you for your donations!
My blogger girls who are coming to help! (and have a good time, of course!)
And of course, thanks to Chris for agreeing to come in the first place. You are a gem.
And finally, to you guys out there...Your prayers are working...the weather forecast from NC to AR looks fabulous for Sat. so far...keep praying for the guys' safe travel.
That's it...Cathy is the first arrival on Thursday. Can't wait to see everyone!
Risa~I can't believe the time is almost here. It's going to be so much fun and I can't wait to help anyway I can..Guess I better start packing. Thanks so much for inviting me. I need this trip more than I can say...
Anyone who wants to hear Chris live this morning....8:15 central at www.b98.com. It will be posted as a podcast if you miss the live interview.
*jumps up and down*
I love the video! It is so great how all the clips came together to tell such a real cross-section of People. I think that the silliness just goes to show that we are all just human. That vulnerability feels beautiful, set against such soaring vocals.
My favorite part? The very beginning.
It sets the mood for the whole thing.
:-)
Kelly Clarkson's new single hits radio today. WhooHoo!!
You can hear it at ElvisDuran.com World Premier..
It's very good. Very pop...New Kelly song, new CD coming out in March means new Kelly tour.....I can't wait!!!
My favorite part of the Fan video is Capt. Kirk.
American Idol starts tonight -
Don't forget to watch.
Rosalee, I'll tell Lennon, it will make his day. Unfortunately, I have to help give a workshop tonight, and then attending a going away party for a friend. This is when I wish we had the DVR thing!
In case you went to the www.b98.com site, the live interview didn't happen...hoping for a taped one later.
Aww, that's great! It was awesome seeing some of you in the video. I also wonder who's little kid band that was, so cute. Who was on the mountain top? (If that's what it was lol) That was pretty sweet.
oh my. I'm sorry to say this, but this video looks terrible! I thought it would look a lot cooler than it does. Cheesy.
Obviously, someone who was left out. : ) Hey, no one on here is professional, it is what it is.
That was a fun video! The kids' band was hilarious. And Lori and Teddy's spot was nicely done.
Hi Chris! I can't view your video from here, but I wanted to let you know that I FINALLY heard your song on my local Christian station! I was so excited!
I adored that video!
